Background

Nicholas Zou and Keiko Saito first opened the doors to CK Violins in 1994 while they were both full-time members of the Honolulu Symphony.  As professional musicians in Hawaii, they saw the need for a full service shop that catered to string players.  Instruments are always selected from the performer’s point of view with emphasis on condition and investment value.  Our network of dealers and restorers around the world allows for us to have access to a wide range of instruments for our clients.

Nicholas earned his B.M. degree from Eastman School of Music and his M.M. degree from Northwestern University. Keiko earned her music degree from the prestigious Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo.

Throughout the years CK Violins has provided close and personal service to all of their customers from selection of that first 1/16th sized violin to finding the perfect fine Italian instrument for the concert artist.
